Rotary Langley Iver Moonraker Sponsored Charity Orienteering Night Walk Challenge Chiltern Trek Hills big Path under Star Thames Valley London Buckinghamshire Bucks Berkshire Berks 2018 shine issue cancer event
Rotary Club of Langley & Iver
Night of Sat 19th
The 36th Moonraker event is an annual night walk challenge. You don’t need to be an experienced walker to take part, you just have to be enthusiastic and ideally enjoy raising money for charity.
Walkers have to find their way around either 5 or 10 mile course using a map and answering questions.
Moonraker offers an opportunity for youth and community groups, clubs, schools, charities, businesses, families and friends to raise money for their favourite charity and Rotary charities.
To take part you need a team of 3 to 6 and must be at least 14years old and be prepared for the challenge.
The event also encourages team building and a chance to develop leadership skills.
We can assure you that you will feel a huge sense of achievement in many ways, having completed this event.
"It is with great regret that this year's Moonraker, planned for 19 October, has been cancelled due to insufficient teams signed up to take part. The event was non-viable from a financial perspective. because of costs Langley and Iver incur in running the event (eg marquee, medical facilities, food). Entry fees would not have covered our costs by some margin.
If you would like a refund of monies paid please contact Jerri Rees with your bank details or email any other member of the organisation team you have been in contact with.
Thank you and sorry for the disappointing news
